Time management and Project management

In this course, participants learn ways to work more effectively. To make more effective use of your time the first thing you need to do is formulate clear goals, and translate them into concrete steps. Next the crucial thing is to give strict priority to these steps in your daily/weekly/monthly/annual schedule and not allow yourself to be distracted by other, more fun, important or interesting activities. It is also important to clearly communicate to your colleagues and managers what your priorities are and to deal with your own work rhythm effectively.

Succesvol Promoveren-afb2In ‘Time management’ you will learn the difference between the time management of a day/week, of a long-term project and a research program. Participants learn to analyze the way they spend their time in a day and a week in different ways. This gives them new insights into their strong points and also provides options for improving their working method. In ‘Project management’ participants learn the rules of project management and how to apply them to scientific research. In the course they will each make a concrete planning schedule for their own research projects.
